TCY Women’s goal is to create awareness about the different types of health & care challenges women experience throughout their lives, by hearing directly from 1 million women.

We invite EVERY woman between the ages of 18 to 100 to join us and share their stories.

ABCs for Awareness

Our awareness building campaign includes:

  1. Advocating for our individual health and care!

  2. Building a list of resources/tools available to women in different communities!

  3. Cultivating innovative ideas to further access to care, education, and research to drive forward women's health in society!

ADVOCATE for Yourself

From women's health education being limited to “boobs and tubes”, to women not being heard and getting the preventative or immediate care they need, to women being excluded from research - many of us have learned the hard way that healthcare is NOT designed for women.

While we can’t click our heels 3x and change the healthcare system, we can learn to become better advocates for our own health! “Taking Care of You": The Empowered Woman’s Guide to Better Health (Mayo Clinic Press 2022) (TCY) is an easy-to-use tool to help women learn more about common non-reproductive health challenges and learn how to ask questions to get the most out of YOUR health and care!

BUILD for Community

Middle school health class was the first and last time many of us learned about our bodies. After that, there were few, if any, required lessons or books, outside of reproductive and sexual health, to guide us towards better health throughout our lives.

BUT different stages of life bring distinct health needs and challenges and yet most of us are not prepared (or even informed!) about the journey ahead. We are expected to “just know” how to take care of our ever-changing bodies, without knowing where to start or what to expect!

So what are we going to do? We are going to build a list of all the amazing books, videos, podcasts, movies, companies and so on to help women in our communites, right now!

CULTIVATE for Society

By sharing our stories we are reminded that we are in this fight, together. We are here to uplift and support one another. Together we can work towards showcasing what comprehensive health and care looks like for women, at every stage of life. Together we can cultivate the seeds to further access to excellent medical care, to vital public health education, and towards pivotal research in order to drive forward women's health all across the world. Together, we CAN make health and care better for EVERY woman.

Hope has two beautiful daughters; their names are Anger and Courage. Anger at the way things are, and Courage to see that they do not remain as they are.” ―St. Augustine
